Donna Takacs is an accomplished business leader with extensive North American and international experience. With more than 25 years of marketing, communications and business development experience, Donna has been recognized for her achievements in strategic planning, market development, brand management, and stakeholder relations in both the private and not-for-profit sectors. Donna earned her Certified Value Builder™ (CVB) designation in 2017 and her Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) designation in 2022.
Donna is a collaborative, outcomes-focused leader with a passion for consumer insights, innovative planning and problem-solving, team-building and compelling communications across all platforms to drive results. Her accomplishments include leadership direction and operational oversight of all facets of marketing, communications and business development ‒ including brand management, digital marketing, segmentation and analytics, CRM, corporate communications, and media and public relations to successfully change perceptions, build awareness and drive growth at three complex national organizations. Donna’s previous positions include President at CMU College of Makeup Art & Design, Vice President Marketing at The Royal Conservatory, Vice President Marketing & New Business Initiatives at Lumira Capital, Vice President Marketing & Business Development at Frank Schaffer Publications, and Director of Business Development, Overseas Division of Harlequin Enterprises.
As principal of her own consulting practice, Donna has led many successful assignments for organizations in the biotechnology, health care, financial services, social services, arts and culture, education, agricultural research, digital and web-based technology markets.
Donna earned a Bachelor of Commerce (magna cum laude) with a major in marketing and a minor in finance from Concordia University.
